We were unsure what to expect, but we loved the experience! Anthony explained how to prepare the tea and enjoy it and was so friendly! The tea cookies were delicious too!  more »

The Tea Chapter I was recommended by a friend fond of tea and its rituals. I had never heard of because it wasn't included in the guide books of Singapore I own. I loved it! Downstairs there is the tea shop without great pretensions, but upstairs you can taste the wonderful Chinese tea according to the rite of traditional Chinese style coffee tables or as simple qto authentic. The tasting can be done for one or more types of tea, which can be chosen from a menu. We chose a light tea-scented flowers and one that seems to have been eaten here by the same Queen Elizabeth II in 1989. The whole was complemented by a nice drive free oral tasting done in a very clear and fluent English and from tasting for our choice of even some cookies and treats. There is a time limit within which sit and drink tea. There is only a minimum of 8 Singaporean dollars (5 euros) to be spent per head, so nothing too fancy. I liked it so much. Myself, my son and my friend were the only tourists. All remaining tables were used by young couples or groups of friends who chatted pleasantly in relaxation. In short, an authentic experience and a must-have for those who, like me, find the real Singapore and loves tea.

It is a lovely place to enjoy a calm afternoon, especially during the week when it is not so busy. Take a few hours time to really make most of your stay. Ask for a good explanation as for how to drink the tea properly; whether you get a good one really depends on the waiter who serves you (-> -1*⭐️). We have been there for three times with people visiting and it has always been one of the highlights in Singapore! Hence, I can really recommend a visit.

Nice traditional Chinese tea house. Tea is very fragrant but light, great for after-meal indulgence. Staff were also friendly. Would bring my friends here to experience if got chance.

With a serene ambience and traditional decor, Tea Chapter is the ideal sanctuary for those who wish to escape the hustle and bustle of the city. The teahouse also includes food on its menu, such as Dim Sum Platter, Lotus Leaf Rice, Lychee Tea Jelly, and Tea Egg. There’s also the full tea experience with their Tea Experience Package, where you learn the essence of appreciating different types of tea and its history with their Tea Masters.

Fun place to go to to appreciate teas! The staff was very passionate. Place was quite empty though.

Nice tea house to spend weekend afternoons with friends chatting and drinking good Chinese tea.

Where to stay in Singapore

For leading chain hotels, head to the area around Orchard Road, considered the tourist center of Singapore due to its varied selection of rooms, good travel links, and tourist-focused businesses. At the eastern end of the road, you'll find more luxurious and expensive options, with hotels located in impressive colonial-era architecture. North and south of this main artery, backpacker hostels and budget hotels provide affordable rooms with basic facilities.
