  • In the center of Gardens by the bay a great centre piece. light show where the trees flash in different colours in the evening which is free to watch. one show at 1945 and another 2045.  more »
  • Interesting ecological solution (as far as I understood, is used to collect water and electricity-may be wrong). Very nicely. Located inside the Park.

  • In my opinion, this is the best thing about Singapore. The trees are majestic (and super sustainable, which is incredible). We came during the day and took the time to walk around the whole thing. Watched the sunset from the bridge, went up the center tree to the rooftop bar and enjoyed a glass of wine and watched the trees start to light up before coming down to watch the light show at 745. Right around Christmas the show features Christmas music - we loved it so much we stayed to watch it again at 845. Everything is so magical. Designed really well. A+
  • A superb place that should be on every tourist's map for Singapore. Has these towers built like autumn trees within which they have an interesting collection of plants. The entire place has been beautifully done up with nice parks, water bodies, topiaries, gardens, etc. There's an extra ticket to enter some of these trees. The best happens at the fall of night when the trees come alight with brilliant lamps which glow in sync with music. This part of the show is free. Beware of your cab driver or tour operator because many will not tell you this part to wind up their day early.
  • A place to visit once. Best to go there when there is an event. Generally speaking, it is nice to be there around 6.30pm so that you get the best light to talk photos. Don’t be in a hurry to walk the tree walk, there are different plants to see and different views can get great photo shoots. Great for lovers.
  • Loved the free light show here at night, laying down looking up at the flashing lights to music was magical. Recommend you go earlier pay to do the sky walk during the day with city view and pay to see the cloud forest during the day very fun huge cone of living plants and waterfall. (I wasn’t impressed with the flower dome, I thought the botanical gardens were better). Also great free splash play area nearby for kids during the day.
  • The best experience in Singapore. Great light show start at 7:45pm not to be missed. Looks like out of this world. The best part it's free to visit. Looking forward to seeing it again.

Where to stay in Singapore

For leading chain hotels, head to the area around Orchard Road, considered the tourist center of Singapore due to its varied selection of rooms, good travel links, and tourist-focused businesses. At the eastern end of the road, you'll find more luxurious and expensive options, with hotels located in impressive colonial-era architecture. North and south of this main artery, backpacker hostels and budget hotels provide affordable rooms with basic facilities.
