  • It used to be the biggest in the world, but it still offers great vies of Singapore and the marina. You can see as far as the eye can see. On clear days that's pretty far. Great for kids too. And it's...  more »
  • Its quite expensive but worth it. The ride is 30 minutes, and very slow. One gets beautiful views of the city and beyond. A good 360 degree view. A good experience. Must go.  more »
  • The flyer is a 'must see' and great at any time of the day but ensure you plan ahead of going at night. Tour loads are constantly coming and going but the volumes are where impacts can occur. You get ...  more »

  • Must Do in Singapore trip with family. Viewing the city from , and enjoying it, gives a different pleasure. Rising above the tall buildings, and being able to see far and beyond is a lovely feeling. So this ride is a must-do for all age groups. Children too enjoy it. This is a true marvel of engineering. Big glass capsules, able to accommodate 10-15 adults, having some sitting area in it as well. It takes close to 40 minutes for the full circle of this giant wheel to complete. This is not wheel chair friendly, as you have to hop on to a moving wheel, which would be difficult for very aged people, and people with mobility issues. Buying tickets in advance is advisable. You can see the commercial district, the river, gardens by the bay, the sea, the marina , and everything else. The view is amazing in both daylight and night. Though you get to see more in the day, the lights in the night make it a beautiful one. On an lazy day , you can request for a separate cabin as well.
  • Best place to view the true magnificence of this city. You get to see the military base along the river, the beautiful skyline and you almost get onto eye-level with the top of the Marina Sands Bay hotel. Oh, and this flyer is bigger and better than the London eye. . . Pretty epic
  • Initially a ride on the Singapore flyer was not on our itinerary. We decided on the spot and bought tickets and believe me no regrets. It is so well organized that we had no problems at all. The flyer takes around 30 to 40 minutes for one rotation. Beautiful view of entire Singapore plus a distance view of Indonesia. Could capture all the main attraction's of Singapore from different heights.
  • To get one of the best views of the city, make sure to visit the Singapore Flyer. It's like a Giant Wheel with closed compartments that rotates, slowly gaining height and continues on till the end of the ride. The view at the very top, almost shows off the whole of Singapore. A must do when in Singapore.
  • One of the top attractions of Singapore. The night view is spectacular. Great views of the Singapore city can be captured from the flyer at night. But if you want to capture your own photos in the flyer you should take the ride at day time. Ticket price is a bit expensive but it worth taking a ride. There is a separate queue for foreign travelers inside the ticket counter. So people other than Singapore national can easily buy tickets from entering into the counter. Ticket price is same for both Singapore and other nationals.

Where to stay in Singapore

For leading chain hotels, head to the area around Orchard Road, considered the tourist center of Singapore due to its varied selection of rooms, good travel links, and tourist-focused businesses. At the eastern end of the road, you'll find more luxurious and expensive options, with hotels located in impressive colonial-era architecture. North and south of this main artery, backpacker hostels and budget hotels provide affordable rooms with basic facilities.
