Trace Asia’s rich maritime history and the city’s heritage as a trading port with a trip to The Maritime Experiential Museum. The site provides an interactive, multi-sensory experience that walks visitors through more than 60,000 artifacts salvaged from an Arabian dhow shipwreck discovered in 1998. The museum is also home to a life-size reproduction of that ship, called Jewel of Muscat. Get a behind-the-scenes look at the ship's construction and blueprint, and experience a typhoon in the theatre simulation. The museum dives into many different countries and cultures, offering a broad perspective on maritime history.
