Tanjong Beach, Sentosa Island

(4.1/5 based on 200+ reviews on the web)
Crystal clear water laps at the sandy shore of Tanjong Beach. This idyllic beach spot is known for being clean, peaceful, and relaxing. The sea is gentle and the waves tame, making it a good swimming spot. The beach is patrolled by lifeguards throughout the day. Nearby sidewalks are lined by lush green flora and kiosks are set up selling drinks, beers, and snacks. There's a beach volleyball court, as well as surf boards and kayaks for rent. You'll find separate washrooms and outdoor and indoor showers here as well. • We enjoyed a leisurely stroll from the train right up to this beach on a lovely well kept walkway. A huge big beach area with a nice cove for a swim.  more »
  • We were able to take an Uber from our hotel over to Tanjong Beach. It was worth the trip. It is a smaller beach, but beware there are almost as many dogs as people on the beach. The dogs really did no...  more »
  • We got not a rainy day, it could have been really quite nice at Tanjong beach. The beach is uncrowded and very clean, we were in the water. The arrival is however a bit tedious, as it seen the - from the Boardwalk out - the most remote stretch of beach is. It is therefore, in vivo city with the railway on the island, and then with the bus to drive. Once again, we would probably no longer take the way on us.

  • Love the laid back beach. Clean sand, vast space, semi clean water (typical of Singaporean sea), and very hot!!! On weekends, you get the added elements of recreational volleyball players and dogs. Difficult to access without a car (not impossible just very slow via the tram from Beach Station in the Sentosa island). With a car, there's parking spot right next to the beach and charges are reasonable. Better than east coast Park which necessitates more walking and more crowded over the weekend.
  • So far, this is my favorite beach in Singapore. Most quietest part of Sentosa beaches. Best for unwinding after your long week. The beach is generally very clean. Also, there is a rental place for water sports, like stand paddling, kayaking, etc.
  • Calmest of the three beaches, has volleyball fields and a pool. Sometimes you can see some striations of oil on the water (probably from the tankers one can see on the horizon) which makes you think twice about going into the water. And the bar is quite pricey, at least for average student budgets. Apart from that, great beach!
  • Quietest part of Sentosa beach. Very clean. Go there very early in the morning when the island opens, you will feel like you own the place...very tranquil. Suitable to let your pawfurs run freely and enjoy the breeze.
  • Its a nice chillax place with lesser crowd. Good place for dog owners.
