Observation Deck Tourist Spot
Come face-to-face with one Singapore's symbols at Sentosa Merlion, a giant statue of a creature with a lion's head and a body of a fish. Ride in a elevator up to the mouth of the 37 m (120 ft) fish-lion statue, where you can pick up your prosperity coin--included in the ticket price--and ring the prosperity bell for good luck. From the mouth of the creature you can also enjoy sweeping views over the city and take one of Singapore's most iconic photos, in the jaws of a lion. Put Sentosa Merlion on your schedule, and learn what else deserves a visit by using our Sentosa Island vacation planner.

  • Price is quite stiff to actually enter each of the attractions ($48/adult and $43/child as of June 2016) for 3 attractions minimum. However, if you just walk around and enjoy the atmosphere and taking pictures for memories, you do not really have to buy any tickets as the Sentosa Express is free to ride. Just take a taxi to the Sentosa Waterfront station and you can explore the Sentosa on foot and tram service for free if you want.
  • Most attractions in Sentosa are fairly costly but the Merlion remains one of the most affordable at $10 per adult. Granted there is nothing much to do in the Merlion but this is the most economical way to enjoy the view of the surrounds. Our ticket gave us access to a short video clip and views from the mouth and head of the Merlion. There was also a large bell for ringing at the mouth. An elevator took us to the top level where stairs offered direct access to the mouth and head. The 360 degree panoramic views from the head was amazing.
  • This place is really nice. Lots of areas were you can take photos. Relax and unwind. Great for kids to have some fun and also for the adults.
  • Exciting.. Feel of Singapore is here.. Dont miss fountain of wealth.. It's just 1 km from Merlion..
  • Majestic icon of Singapore, a must see here on the island! And the biggest one of all. You can learn more about the story of this mythical creature
