Come face-to-face with one Singapore's symbols at Sentosa Merlion, a giant statue of a creature with a lion's head and a body of a fish. Ride in a elevator up to the mouth of the 37 m (120 ft) fish-lion statue, where you can pick up your prosperity coin--included in the ticket price--and ring the prosperity bell for good luck. From the mouth of the creature you can also enjoy sweeping views over the city and take one of Singapore's most iconic photos, in the jaws of a lion. Put Sentosa Merlion on your schedule, and learn what else deserves a visit by using our Sentosa Island vacation planner.

  • Drop from the imbiah station if you coming from the monorail. Then there is the sentosa merlion. Very good convenient place to take photographs.
  • In addition to the Merlion that you see in the May, there is another one at the Sentosa Island. The Island is full of attractions and amusements, Merlion stands in the middle as a huge structure.
  • A small experience about origin of Singapore and it's Merlin symbol. Reach out to the top of the statue and experience a Singapore harbour view and it's skyline.Best to go and visit this at end of day...  read more »
  • Beautiful piece of architecture. The light show is amazing. Never seen any show which is similar to this one. The color projections on to the merlion are perfect and make it seem like the color is painted on it and not being projected.
  • Verry entertaining, nice, and the place you must explore (a day that never enaugh).
  • I arrived here in the afternoon, no queue at the entrance, therefore entry was fast. Staffs were very friendly, the view from the top of Merlion was fantastic, despite seeing a lot of containers from the harbour. Recommended to go when there is promotion, probably not worth if buying the original price ticket.
  • It's great that it's there, but I liked it better when it was covered in glass. One of Singapore's 5 Merlions, I think it's the biggest, and certainly the most commercial.
  • It felt like it's own little amusement park. The Merlion is done very well. It was a lot of fun and offered great views of the city as well.
