Explore the ecosystems of some of the world's great rivers at River Safari. You can visit exhibits inspired by many of the world's great rivers, including the Nile, Congo, and Yangtze. Keep an eye out for the stars of the show, the zoo's two giant pandas Kai Kai and Jia Jia. You can also see smaller red pandas and exotic pheasants in the pandas' forest. Finally, take a boat ride through the jungle on the Amazon River Quest. Don't buy your tickets for the boat ride in advance, as organizers reserve the right to cancel this activity in case of rains. Always picking a zoo when traveling with the children and this time we went for the River Safari because we wanted to see their Pandas. Really worth going there more »

The river Safari is one of 4 zoos in Singapore. For families with children who make a longer vacation in Singapore, the Safari is, once a day to take time out from the hustle and bustle. Even if the images suggest something else it is a 'normal' Zoo, which are based on the animals along the great rivers of the Earth first. These include monkey (which you get to see up close) and Panda bears. In addition, you can take a boat tour on the Lake and (for a fee) book some kind of wild water track, where you get to see more animals. To get to the Zoo with the "Safari line" which starts at the Suntec City in the center of the city (close to Marina) (where you can buy directly admission tickets)View original

There are various freshwater fishes and some animals that can be found here. The area is just next to the Singapore Zoo, hence is easily accessible to visitors looking for more. Also included is a boat ride along the reservoir which is a relaxed and informative ride. Visitors can pay extra for the amazon river quest which is another boat ride. There are various facilities present here for the convenience of tourists.

Nice park with two water rides. Reservoir cruise is free and the Amazon river cruise cost $5 for adult and $3 for children. This is in addition to paid entrance. Suggest you plan your trip, we are here on a week day morning. There is no queues and no crowds. There's free Wifi in the park, signal is strong throughout but speed can be better. Most of the walkways are sheltered so it good relief from the heat. The Panda enclosure provides up close and quite view of the Pandas.

The river side safari could be a great success with small improvements. I find that the music is too loud around the park and disturbs the animals. They are always under constant stress of humans looking at them, taking pictures, ad the HORRENDOUS loud music. It’s a safari, not a theme park! Please make it better for your animals. They matter more. Also the boat safari really needs a major rethink. We didn’t see anything at all and I believe that the boat captain should be talking, not the radio to make it more interactive and entertaining. Please put a purpose into the boat ride! To me it was just a 15 min boat ride to nowhere and nothing actually happened. However the rest of the park is good but please make those adjustments and it will be a lot better. Mark my words.

There are different zones in River Safari. It is quite informative and educational. The Pandas are the best thing in the safari. We took the Amazon River Quest which was a wonderful ride and is a recommended option.

This is one of the world’s biggest repositories of freshwater animals, housed in iconic habitats modelled after the Amazon River, Ganges River and the Nile. River Safari holds one of the world’s biggest repositories of freshwater animals, housed in iconic habitats modelled after the Amazon River, Ganges River and more. At the Mekong River exhibit, visitors will see the endangered Mekong giant catfish up close. Land animals such as the Brazilian tapir, jaguar and giant anteater can be spotted from the Amazon River Quest boat ride. Giant pandas Kai Kai and Jia Jia, on a 10-year loan from China, dwell in the Yangtze River zone. The park also holds regular animal encounters with the African grey parrot, green iguana and oriental pied hornbill.
