  • Nice and chill place. Cute little lamps looking like books designed to light up when you open them. Expensive desserts and drinks though...
  • One of the best spot for design afficionados. Near the beautiful Tanjong Pagar District. Great selection of Red Dot Design award winners. The admission fee is 8 SGD. Please check the website before coming over. Sometimes the museum is booked for events. It used to have a design shop also.
  • Good place to learn more on design and innovation. A place to bring kids and learn.
  • Spent about 2 hours here. The museum showcases a vast variety of designs ranging from furniture to iPads to shower heads. The information notes accompanying certain displays were not always helpful enough for me (not very well acquainted with design-related matters).
  • Meseum for people who love designs. Occasionally schools will bring students here

Where to stay in Singapore

For leading chain hotels, head to the area around Orchard Road, considered the tourist center of Singapore due to its varied selection of rooms, good travel links, and tourist-focused businesses. At the eastern end of the road, you'll find more luxurious and expensive options, with hotels located in impressive colonial-era architecture. North and south of this main artery, backpacker hostels and budget hotels provide affordable rooms with basic facilities.
