Merlion Park, Singapore

Categories: Monuments, Tourist Spots
Inspirock Rating:
4.1/5 based on 5,000+ reviews on the web
Witness one world's most bizarre statues at Merlion Park, famed for its figure of a half lion, half fish shooting water from its mouth in a proud arc. Built in 1964, the 9 m (30 ft) statue now represents one of Singapore's symbols. A smaller statue--the fish-lion's baby--can also be found nearby. The baby statue offers a similar photo opportunity with a fraction of the crowds. After you've taken some photos, turn your gaze around to appreciate sweeping views of the waterfront. Put Merlion Park on your schedule, and learn what else deserves a visit by using our Singapore itinerary planner.

  • Great stretch of road with lots of fnb. Prices are sky high though. Touristy. I wouldn't recommend eating here cos I'll head to more delicious places at lower prices. That said, come here for the view and the mandatory Merlion visit
  • Its a really romantic place. A good spot for tourist but now locals are hanging out in the place dur to availability of a pokemon go gym and some pokestops near by.
  • The most popular place for tourists, but when you wake up early round 6.30-7 am. This place is good location to see sunrise on Marina bay!
  • Lumayan seru disini
  • Nice park and merlion statue is great for that "I'm at SG" selfie. Best if you go in the morning since it gets terribly crowded by night. Also lots of restaurant choices.
