  • This is the other side of Singapore, that some tourists don't get to see - but it is just as amazing and beautiful as the modern Singapore. We took the taxi to the nature trail from the Singapore Bota...  more »
  • It's a pretty good walk from the car park to the canopy walk but it's enjoyable on a nice day. The views are lovely and there's a monkey or two to keep you going.
  • Forest and pure nature, 15 minutes from the center of Singapore. We parked at Venus Loop to go from there walk to the TreeTop Walk, a suspension bridge that is not suitable for anyone with vertigo. The walk is very nice and you find yourself with many monkeys, quite brazen (accustomed to seeing people) not deviate or flinch to watch you go. (Watch your backpack and food as they warn many posters) The hike requires a bit of effort, but gets along well. Essential to carry water in abundance because humidity, already on high Singapore, here is tremendous and you sweat a lot. Along the way there are no where buy nothing, so we took the food to be enjoyed in full jungle, surrounded by monkeys that watched us waiting for that I give them something. In total there were about 3 hours. The children enjoyed it much like us. At the end of the road we saw a Green Snake until almost fosforito. It is a super, but better early plan to avoid excessive heat.

  • Good scenery!!! A lot of monkey there, so don't hold any plastic bags on hand. They may think you have food and will "rob" your plastic bags. Bear in mind the tree top walk closes at 5pm (last entry will be 4:45pm).
  • A not so advertised tourist spot. Call it the lung space of Singapore. Water reservoir to address Singapore's dependency of Fresh water. The board walk meanders along the reservoir through deep forest and greenery. A must visit place ending in Treetop walk. Can easily take half a day atleast. Best time to start early morning
  • A great place to exercise and get fresh air in the busy city of Singapore. It's a pity there isn't a good cafe here. Maybe someone would open one here and this will make it a perfect place to chill in nature.
  • If you want to get away from the city, this is the place. There is a 10 km trail that loops around the reservoir. This is a great running trail as it is in the shade most of the time. There's also side trails where there are wooden paths along the reservoir. The best time to come is during the weekdays as the weekend is pack here w joggers and hikers. There's also the tree top walk which closes on Monday. Also, keep your eyes on your bags as the monkeys love to take them to look for food. Avoid plastic bags or any fruits.
  • This is a really great walk. You can decide which trail you want to do in advance based on your fitness. We did the 11km walk to the tree top walk and back. It is mostly shaded but some sections are very open and sunny so wear sunnie, hat and suncream. Also put on aeroguard. Bring a bottle of water. There are 2 spots along the way where you can refill water as well as toilets. There is a bus stop nearby however a taxi from the city will be about $10 depending on traffic. It took us 3.5 hours to complete at an easy pace. It is mostly level walking and no steep inclines. You do encouter animals such as monkeys, insects, lizards and snakes but keep your eyes peeled. Don't bring food but eat beforehand. If you do bring snacks, hide them. Monkeys can steal and get aggressive. Also don't carry things in a plastic bag as monkeys will rip them from you thinking there is food in there. Wear comfortable shoes. Shorts and t-shirt are fine.
