Flower Dome, Singapore

4.4
#7 of 102 in Parks in Singapore
Step inside a fantasy world of colors and fragrances at Flower Dome, one of the largest glass greenhouses in the world. Explore a range of themed gardens filed with plant life from across the globe, check out the ever-changing seasonal flower displays, and photograph a floral replica of the Eiffel Tower. Reflect on the history of the dome's gnarled olive trees, some believed to be more than 1,000 years old. • This place is a huge indoor garden, flowers are zoned, for example, South America, North America, the Mediterranean, but no Chinese navigation, only to see flowers, there is a Chinese style garden, if you like to take pictures, here is a good place.

  • The permanent plants like the very old olive trees and other exotic trees are what make this place for me. The seasonal flowers, like poinsettias for Christmas along with Christmas decor are rather ch...  more »

  • A good place to enjoy scenery, relax and chill. It can be A little cold here, so do bring along a jacket. Place is quite large, have enough space for those who require wheelchairs. Good place for photographers as well. Restrooms available as well in this place. Staff there are friendly as well, feel free to approach them. Would consider this a romantic place at night, but go during the day to be able to capture more flora. Good place for family, friends and loved ones!
  • A great place to go if you want to escape from the confines of the city. The garden offers a trip to nature and makes for a great stop if ever you're visiting Singapore. You can also visit the Cloud Forest next door after you've seen the different plants and flowers in the Flower Dome.
  • This is one of two domes to visit at the Gardens By The Bay. Visit this dome first, then make your way to the Cloud Forest dome (I wrote a separate review of that). This is one of the best botanical gardens I have seen and the fact that it is located inside a spectacular dome offering amazing views of its surroundings is even more enticing. If you can only do one thing in Singapore, visit the Gardens by the Bay.
  • So well maintained, everything in singapore is so meticulously looked after. Flowers from all over the world. We went during Halloween time so they had made a display out of pumpkins. I did much prefer the cloud forest though, very cool
  • Absolute must visit and a bargain for the price we paid. I highly recommend purchasing your tickets online in order to save money and time. I had a blast here amazing place definitley will visit again when I am back in Singapore.

Where to stay in Singapore

For leading chain hotels, head to the area around Orchard Road, considered the tourist center of Singapore due to its varied selection of rooms, good travel links, and tourist-focused businesses. At the eastern end of the road, you'll find more luxurious and expensive options, with hotels located in impressive colonial-era architecture. North and south of this main artery, backpacker hostels and budget hotels provide affordable rooms with basic facilities.
