Where to stay in Singapore

For leading chain hotels, head to the area around Orchard Road, considered the tourist center of Singapore due to its varied selection of rooms, good travel links, and tourist-focused businesses. At the eastern end of the road, you'll find more luxurious and expensive options, with hotels located in impressive colonial-era architecture. North and south of this main artery, backpacker hostels and budget hotels provide affordable rooms with basic facilities.

  • The Flower Dome is an air-conditioned dome that is filled with all sorts of flowers, plants and cacti. Every now and then, the feature theme changes, whereby new/seasonal flowers are brought in to match the theme, thus keeping the look and feel of the Flower Dome fresh and interesting and worth visiting multiple times. Inside the dome, it can get quite cold, so it is advisable to bring along a light coat or jacket. The moment you step inside, you will be greeted with the relaxing sweet smell of the flowers in the dome. Do take note that tickets must be purchased prior to entry.
  • This is one of the most interesting places in the world with thousands of flowers around the world. The dome is so cool with fresh air and full of trees and flowers. The decoration is cute as well. This place is suitable for all ages. Highly recommended!!!1
  • The Flower Dome is a must see in Singapore. Don't miss the chance to tour the world of flora and fauna; amazing display of flowers, plants and more from around the world. Easy access, well laid out, not too big and filled with interpretation signs that provide insight into the various displays. Truly amazing.
  • Flower Dome A wonderful indoor air conditioner garden that house several types of flowers. Indoor temperature and wide range of colourful flowers definitely added to your satisfaction. Last update Jun2017
  • A great journey through notable flowers and plants from around the world. A lovely and cool display which is not particularly well laid out but also not hard to figure out. Went there during the tulip display and was very disappointed by the number of dead and dying tulips. I was advised of their short life spans for such interesting colour varieties and the impact of so many tourists who likely get quite hands-on, but I would have expected a display of this price and calibre to have accommodated for this with suitable barriers etc as necessary. Despite this, there were wonderful displays and great information on the different plants and flowers on display. A well spent afternoon exploring this and the other nearby gardens and displays.
