Esplanade Park, Singapore
(4.5/5 based on 280+ reviews on the web)
Get at the heart of the city with a visit to Esplanade Park, one of the country's oldest public parks. Originally built in 1943, the park has since seen the addition of many important landmarks, including a trail dedicated to Queen Elizabeth, an army monument, cenotaph, fountain, and memorial. The promenade follows the bay of the marina and provides a vantage point of the waterfront and city skyline. You'll often find a refreshing breeze flow in from the water and shade under the tree canopies from the sun. Small local vendors set up kiosks selling drinks and snacks, and the odd local performer plays soft background music. Use our Singapore vacation route planner to visit Esplanade Park on your trip to Singapore, and learn what else travelers and our writers recommend seeing nearby.

  • All that is on the Gulf of Marina Bay perfectly and is well worth a visit, especially in the evening. From here you can see the beautifully lit and architecturally impressive building in the form of a Durian-theatre. In the afternoon it did not produce such an impression. Here you can also enjoy views of the Gulf skyline illuminated fountain and cool. Great quiet place to rest.

  • Walking from Padang along the Esplanade and emerging from under the bridge overpass, getting your first view of the stunning harbor view is very breathtaking. The view of the Harbor, Merlion, and skyline from here, and further up, the Marina Bay Sands and Gardens by the Bay is fantastic. Bring a good camera. The breeze from the water also makes this a comfortable walk option on a hot day.
  • A lot of activities / celebrations take place here. Overseeing the bay. Lots of greenery and statues. Asia civilization museum nearby
  • Cosy place. Nice dating place
  • Beautiful and clean park
  • A very nice recreational park
