Clarke Quay, Singapore

4.3
#2 of 198 in Shopping in Singapore
Party the night away at Clarke Quay. Once a historical port and cargo center, the quay now throbs with energy as one of Singapore's liveliest night spots. Explore the refurbished warehouse buildings to find shopping by day and parties by night. Before you head to the clubs, fill up with a meal at one of the quay's many restaurants. Capture a memory of your evening by taking a selfie at the Social Wall, a mural especially designed for sharing on social media. • The view of the carat is often not annoying, the neon light of the colorful will be very special in the day. In addition to seafood, Western food, the central business restaurant is also worth a try Ah!

  • An ideal place to go to dinner or for a drink is not a site cheap but has very good variety of locations and has a special, stop charm of I put the same name because it tells you the area.

  • Have to come here at night to feel the atmosphere. Although we chose a nearby restaurant, we were so tired during the day that we had no way to enjoy it at night. It's even more fun than the sea Mihama area.

  • This is a beautiful place. It’s so lively and fun to be in. There’s a lake with boating available. Even the boats are decorated and provide privileged rides. There is a mall nearby that can be visited if you want to go to a reasonable place to eat. Otherwise Clarke Quay is lined with its own set of restaurants with an amazing view of the water with boats going by in it. The entire place is lit up in the night when it looks the best. There is a phone service nearby and also a train that you can take from not far away.
  • A must visit while you are in Singapore and like sea food. Beautiful skyline with a range of restaurants to choose from. Food is delicious and you may like to sit next to the sea and relax. Sip a drink of your choice, have a romantic evening and enjoy some dance in a pub or even dance bars in the vicinity which can surprise you!
  • A lively beautiful place with a lot of cafe or restaurant choices. You can enjoy here day or night. The view is good. But quite pricey for some of the cafe or restaurant.
  • Clarke Quay is where most of the night action happens, especially for tourists. They have many reputable clubs, and numerous other restaurants around. Even Central Mall has most of what you need to enjoy the night. That said, everything is very pricey, and it may not necessarily be the best value for money enjoyment spot.
  • It's very difficult to find a place to sit down during the day. There are a few benches along the river but there is no shade under the hot sun. There are many chairs but they are chained together in front of the pubs and restaurants (most of which are closed during the day). The only public seats are at the taxi stand and bus stops. Definitely not a kid and elderly-friendly place. It's a lively place in the evening but during the day it's like a ghost town.

Where to stay in Singapore

For leading chain hotels, head to the area around Orchard Road, considered the tourist center of Singapore due to its varied selection of rooms, good travel links, and tourist-focused businesses. At the eastern end of the road, you'll find more luxurious and expensive options, with hotels located in impressive colonial-era architecture. North and south of this main artery, backpacker hostels and budget hotels provide affordable rooms with basic facilities.
