  • One of the small military museums of Singapore, dedicated to the last fights of the Malay Regiment in 1942-m. Reached MRI to "Tropical Padzhang" (SS26), thence along the winding Road Pepys commercials 15 minutes up the Hill at the end of the climbing the stairs to the top of Bukit Chandu. The Museum is housed in the restored two-storey mansion in the colonial era, is open from 9 am to 17:30, except Monday, admission singdollara 2. Modest, but a good exposition of the events of the year 1942 ...

  • War Museum that make one of the fierce battle before Singapore fell in old Japan Army attack. The exhibits include Warrior things surrounding battle in front of the exhibit, at the time the message. You need hard exhibit is too much for the Japanese, now know as Japanese reality of Singapore very glamorous past. Located in the Park proceeded from the subway station. As a museum to renovate the facilities of the former British army seems to be. You must walk about 15 minutes from the train station in hot climates.

  • Nice little spot to visit. A memorial of the Malay Regiment and their final fight before the Fall of Singapore. Quite well done and a little bit eerie in the area. There free parking near the museum. But there are a couple of flight of stairs to climb up.
  • Quiet and Peaceful place to reflect on the history of WWII in Singapore, comprehensively detailed exhibits and with actual WWII relics are displayed inside the air conditioned Memorial. These exhibits give the visitor a detailed walk through on the fall of Singapore and the battle of Bukit Chandu.
  • A sober place honouring the unsung heroes defending Singapore land against the Japanese.
  • Excellent small museum on fall of Singapore with no entrance fee and lots of good audio visual displays in old colonial villa.
  • Interesting WWII history museum centered around the events leading to and during the invasion of Singapore by the Japanese

Where to stay in Singapore

For leading chain hotels, head to the area around Orchard Road, considered the tourist center of Singapore due to its varied selection of rooms, good travel links, and tourist-focused businesses. At the eastern end of the road, you'll find more luxurious and expensive options, with hotels located in impressive colonial-era architecture. North and south of this main artery, backpacker hostels and budget hotels provide affordable rooms with basic facilities.
