Anse Georgette, Praslin Island

4.8
#2 of 38 in Outdoors in Praslin Island
An understated hidden gem off the northeast tip of the island, Anse Georgette quietly holds a reputation as one of Praslin's most secluded spots. Laze in your own private piece of paradise, situated in a cove of snow white sand between the lush mangrove and bright blue sea. Crystal clear waters and very little coral make this a tempting place to dive right in, but beware of strong currents and waves. Set within the grounds of a resort, the beach is open to the public, but visitors must inform the resort of their visit. • Yes unfortunately we saw this beautiful beach with sea moooooltoooo rough! We booked the seat through the Guest House where we were staying (but friends have managed to enter the same one afternoon asking permission to the guard, who saw that there wasn't many people made them enter). To get to the beach we all walk, not so short the path between the golf holes if you bring a child into your backpack! The beach is beautiful, not huge, doesn't have a lot of shade but not crowded so there's always space. Upon returning thankfully there has picked up the Golf Cart that has brought us almost to the exit. Actually, we had asked the little man driver if we brought Petite Anse Kerlan (Beach which apparently is also part of Lemuria) but we responded that we had to book for that too spiaggia...va well! Perhaps the can be reached on foot from the sea but there was no beach in the West of Praslin in August so some advice, if you want to go even at Petite Anse Kerlan maybe find cheap admission for both beaches of Lemuria.

  • A true paradise. In my opinion superior to Ansa Lazio this is the best beach of the island of Praslin. There are none so beautiful, wild and unfrequented. If you come on Praslin where absolutely put it in program. How to get there? This is the look less agreeable. This beach is located inside the luxurious resort Lemuria that while we can't take over the beach (are public good according to the law of Seychelles) in fact has made it inaccessible to the general public. So what? You have to call the hotel and ask for a pass (free) that is supplied according to the accesses. Moral of the story: in other season you might wait several days before seeing you granted the pass and then you better call much earlier. Us during the new year's Eve we waited two days. To get need take the bus and get off at previous stop in Mount Plaisir (if in doubt ask the driver). From the gate to the beach there is a wonderful walk of about 20 minutes, no obligation enquiry but with some ups and downs along the 18-hole golf course. The beach is super, super fun. Water is not absolutely calm there are many surf and a decent current so it is not a place for beginners or to inflate the mattress. But it is precisely this that makes wild all over the place. There are no lifeguards or services so if you want to eat or drink take it from home (because eating at Lemuria can cost you like any holiday!). There are also some local boys who put the banquets to sell fresh fruit cut into pieces, served in a palm leaf. Price not cheap (about €15 two people) but is very exotic. We had a very nice day in the outdoors. Not asked for better and definitely worth the Organization

  • You have to call the Constantia Lemuria resort a day in advance to be able to enter the private property and go through their golf course to reach the beach. It's a good 20 minutes walk one-way, quite hilly. The beach itself is wonderful, one of the best in Seychelles in my opinion.
  • Despite Seychelles' growing popularity as a tourist destination, Anse Georgette has maintained its sense of seclusion, making it an ideal place for lovebirds seeking some alone time. The beach's white sands are ideal for sunbathing while the calm, clear water draws swimmers and snorkelers alike. But for many visitors, it's Anse Georgette's stunning views that deserve the most admiration. "Anse Georgette is one of the few things in life that left me speechless," wrote one TripAdvisor user. "From my point of view, this is the best beach on the island. It is a must." To reach Anse Georgette, you'll need to pass through the adjacent Constance Lémuria Resort — an easy feat. Both the resort and the beach can be found on Praslin's northwest coast (about 3 miles north of the Praslin Airport); you can access the beach using the resort's well-maintained path, which also leads to the resort's golf course. You can access the beach at any time, day or night, for no fee, as long as you obtain permission from the resort in advance (only 30 non-guests are allowed on the beach at any given time).
  • Amazing! Wonderful Beach😍
  • Wow. Wow. Wow. We fell in love with Anse Georgette. You can enter the beach via Lemuria Resort (Golf Resort) but you should reserve your visit one day upfront. It's an approximate 2 km walk from the bus station. You can enjoy fresh coconut (75 SRP) and fresh fruits.
  • One of the nicest beaches I've been to. Clear water, nice view and no stingrays on the bottom.
