The Vrdnik-Ravanica Monastery, also called Little Ravanica, is a Serb Orthodox monastery in Vrdnik in the Fruška Gora mountains in the northern Serbia, in the province of Vojvodina. The exact date of its founding is unknown. The records indicate that the church was built at the time of Metropolitan Serafim, in the second half of the 16th century.Vrdnik-Ravanica Monastery was declared Monument of Culture of Exceptional Importance in 1990, and it is protected by Republic of Serbia.

  • A popular place among tourists. We were able to visit there when nobody was. The soul rests in such places. Preserved old frescoes, feels namolennoe place. Well there walk around the reserve begins.

  • There were a few times in this wonderful monastery. Once after the liturgy, the mother invited us for coffee with the priest and other parishioners. it was nice to meet Serbian Orthodox. The temple is very beautiful. It has kovčežcy with the relics of King Lazar and martyr Anastasia Roman. During our stay in Vrdnike also brought the relics of Saint Angelina Serb from another fruškogooskogo Krušedola monastery. About Vrdnik monastery remained the fondest memories is well worth a visit
