City Hall (Gradska kuca), Subotica
(4.6/5 based on 75 reviews on the web)
Considered by many to be the city's most beautiful structure, City Hall (Gradska kuca) is the largest and one of the most lavish buildings in this part of Serbia. As it was the main governmental building, some of the greatest Serbian artists and architects of the time were involved in the four-year construction. It was finally completed in 1912, showcasing exceptionally modern architecture for its day--Hungarian folklore elements and ceramic and wrought-iron floral ornaments adorn most of its interiors. Take photos of the 76 m (249 ft) tall building and pay attention to the vivid stained glass windows. You can also access the 45.5 m (149 ft) high observation balcony, which offers unmatched views of the surrounding town and landscape. • Well maintained and very well guided by local tourist organisation is one must-to -visit place in Subotica.
  • Gorgeous outside and breathtaking inside. Well maintaned. Only downside is Mc D on the ground level which doesn't belong here.
  • Unfortunately, it is being held in Serbian, but go inside the old town hall is interesting, it's worth 100 dinar. You can still climb the Tower (for more money)-but only on weekdays.

  • It's not possible to enter on yourown. You must book a tour in tourist organisation (it's in the same building). Tours are at noon evey day except Sunday.
  • Nice and old. A lot of shops and banks there.
  • Nice old building. Not as well maintained on the inside, and the waiting lines are quite long.
  • heart of the city
  • Nice place
