Topcider Park, Belgrade

4.6
#5 of 11 in Parks in Belgrade
Nestled just outside of the city, Topcider Park has its own lake and forests filled with picnic spots and historical monuments. Stretching across 13 hectares (32 acres) of land, it also houses some of the oldest trees in the region. Initially used by the Ottomans for city defenses, the park became a popular location among the wealthy locals, who requested that their vineyards and summer houses be built on the swampy land. Finally, prince Miloš Obrenović turned the site into a public park in 1831. Hike or cycle through this picturesque urban oasis, snap photos of centuries-old monuments, or have a relaxing picnic by the lake. Be sure to visit the former home of the prince Miloš Obrenović. Found this by accident when wandering the streets of Belgrade for hours on end. Very peaceful and pretty well maintained.  more »

Jedan od najlepših parkova u Beogradu sa puno zelenila, sa stazicama za šetnju i vožnju u kočijama. U parku se može kupiti sladoled i kokice i uživati u prirodi.  more »

A nice large park used by the residents of the city. It needs better maintenance before I would raise my rating.  more »

Oldest and most beautiful park in Belgrade. Small streams and lakes are very nice and refreshing to walk by. Huge old oak tree, hundreds of years old, and museum.

Very nice park. Very good to go there at sunny weekend morning with your family. There is a lot of space for walking and children play.

An awesome place for outdoor activities, not far away from downtown Belgrade. Suitable for either long walks, exercise, enjoying nature..

Great park for families with kids. It would be nice if there were more parking space with better access for people with kids in strollers.

Green area very close to the center with a local big restaurant, museum and the biggest tree of Belgrade. Quite impressive the tree
