Sava, Belgrade

(4.4/5 based on 140+ reviews on the web)
Walk or cycle along Sava, where you can encounter a plethora of floating cafes, restaurants, and clubs, or simply relax in nature. Stretching along 990 km (615 mi) of land, this river passes through four countries before flowing into the Danube at the picturesque confluence below Belgrade Fortress. Snap photos of this sight and have a drink at one of the floating venues. The river is also popular among the locals for its green areas and swimming spots, the most popular being Ada Ciganlija. Take note that the riverside is notorious for its abundant population of mosquitos. Plan to see Sava and other attractions that appeal to you using our Belgrade vacation generator.

  • It's hard for me to imagine the capital of Serbia and the Republic itself, even without the Sava River. On the banks where is never dull, alone or in pairs, or even with a small company. You can enjoy beautiful sunsets endlessly across the rainbow palette, or just sit with their thoughts alone.

  • Quay of the River Sava is located in a residential area of Belgrade, so there was almost no tourists, but the locals are very fond of there walking when the weather is nice. There are a lot of cyclists and lovers of roller skates, kids ride on scooters. On the River, in which the alloys stand are mostly cafes and restaurants. Swim in the River a beautiful ducks and geese, which you can feed hlebushkom. The biggest negative embankment built long ago and repair there would be very handy. On the track, which comes closest to the river is not very convenient to go with because there are no corresponding slopes. Tile, which is laid out also in very poor embankment condition. Overall, a great place for walking away from the noise of roads, as well as for biking, rollerblading and just jogging.
