  • Important part of history of Yugoslavia, Tito was very important historical person of Yugoslav history of 20th century.  more »
  • I was born in the Soviet Union, in Moscow visited times one hundred. And here's to the mausoleum Ilyich climb. Popavshi in Belgrade, at the same time-in winter, I thought: do I not replace Ilyich Iosipom Broz Tito companion? Thought done. Map in hand, body-trolleybus and-here we go! Oh: externally-no resemblance to the red box of the Lenin mausoleum. Green Park, walking paths, the Museum of the history of Yugoslavia and the Glass Pavilion is the last refuge of Comrade Tito. Everything is done neatly, modestly, without pathos and pretentiousness. No feeling that it mogila authoritarian leader or dictator. Moreover, the Museum at the mausoleum, talks about what people did was not the oppressed. The Serbs carefully preserve the history of the big countries, which once were. And, despite the fact that Tito was Croatian descent (and the Serbs with the Croats are not all very smoothly now) contain and mausoleum, and a park clean and tidy.

  • Small, peaceful, interesting
  • It was interesting to see what kind of man Josip Broz Tito was. I've heard a lot about him, both good and bad, so it was really interesting to see what he actually did for the country during his time.
  • Peaceful
  • This museum and mausoleum is not particularly large and doesn't take too long to see. It is not overly grand or tacky like similar sites in communist countries. It's actually done quite tastefully. It's a little far from the centre of town and probably not a priority if you're short of time but worth seeing if you can, just for the significance of how important this man was to the past century's history.
