  • The two exhibitions cover Serbia during World War I. The main exhibition is 'Serbia 1915 - 1916' and the visiting exhibition is 'French - Serbian Military Hospital in Sedes, Greece'. There are many bi...  more »
  • Like many other museums of Belgrade, capital of Serbia, the historical Museum is located in the Centre of the city, has a very interesting historical permanent exhibition as well, often entertaining, temporary thematic exhibitions.

  • We came up with the idea of seeing some history of Serbia. At first we were disappointed because there were two exhibitions that we expected and we didn't know anything: one on the holy founder of Serbia, the other on a man named Pupin. Reading the disappointment on our faces, the guide offers free admission. Surprised by the nice gesture, we enter to browse and ... wow! We remain fascinated by the beautiful exhibit work created around the view on Pupin, which we find to be a very important international scientist, and pretty much the other great name that Serbia has given the world of science, along with the ubiquitous Tesla. A series of rooms that narrate life, studies and discoveries through a beautiful mix of wood and papier-mâché scenographies, reconstructions of environments and video in "augmented reality" used very well. Pretty much a clever way to bring together Visual artisan tradition (of which the Slavs are masters) and the latest technology. With a pedagogical intent but also charming and disarming their narrative in its simplicity. The most classic and beautiful but also reduces the view on Saint Sava. Obviously, coming out, we insisted to pay for your ticket, and in the end we won! (costs less than 4 euros, however)

  • First national history museum I've visited without a permanent exhibition on the country's national history. There we're 2 temporary exhibitions, which might have been great but we didn't go in as we expected an overview of Serbian history.
  • Worth seeing, each and every exhibition. Saw the exhibition (with augmented reality) about Mihailo Idvorski Pupin, one of the greatest world scientists. Centrally placed in City, with a parking lot nearby. Has english translations for everything.
  • Great museum. At the moment they have excellent exhibition about great Mihajlo Pupin. If you are in Belgrade until end of 2016 do not forget to visit this place.
  • Seen here one of the best interactive exhibitions ever. This one was on Serbian scientist Mihajlo Pupin
  • Great exibit and great info there to be learnt
