Dorcol, Belgrade

4.2
#20 of 49 in Sightseeing in Belgrade
Neighborhood Tourist Spot
Stretching from Terazije to the banks of the Danube, Dorcol features numerous historic buildings, trendy cafes, and art galleries, as well as the city's only mosque. In this district, you can tour museums covering theater, music, and ethnography (among other things), and head to popular clubs or traditional taverns at night. Walk through Belgrade Fortress and see the animal residents of the Belgrade Zoo. Historically, this area of the city has been the most cosmopolitan, and at the same time is one of the oldest quarters. Within minutes you can switch between glitzy cafes and industrial chimneys, and even have an exquisite cup of coffee in an old factory hangar. Be sure to use a map for this intriguing neighborhood.
