  • Visited the Riyadh Zoo many years back and again this year. It's improved a bit, though this time it seemed like some animals were missing compared to before. Nevertheless good place to visit with you...  more »
  • First it was quite still and then we saw the animals they were a bit stressed by the aggressive, disgusting behavior of the local visitors. There are no zoo staff to prevent visitors reaching over bar...  more »
  • It is the only zoo in the kingdom. And it is OK but crowded. My kids love it. If you want to visit it come around opening time.  more »

  • Good place to hang out with the family. Kids enjoy the train ride and the variety of animals. The carnivores are the typical attraction. The bird section is a surprise; large number of chirpy colourful birds. It has a section for snakes too though all of them are lazy in this weather. Amongst the big herbivores, the giraffes were missing. Raptor section is good too with different types of hawks, eagles and vultures. It is an amazing experience!
  • Good too see that somebody is uplifting the overall standards. My expectation was based on what I had heard. Reality is somewhat different. There’s a plan. The grounds are neat and tidy. The enclosures are acceptable. The animals are in good condition overall. Cannot say the same for the visitors who are intent to hurl objects at the animals for some or other reason
  • Very nice zoo with animals from all part of the world. Arrangments and animal cages are very adequate and allow good interaction with the animals. Summers are hence the animals should be provided adequate shelter. Animal ride can be offered specially Camel ride.
  • Amazing place to bring kids. If they young, just tell them that it's like a sanctuary. In a desert, it was fascinating to find animals from all over the world. Don't let your kids wonder by themselves if they are very young. Their are food caravans in the park. People generally take along picnic items including foldable chairs.
  • I remember back when the zoo was a sad place! Now it's very nice and relaxed. There's still improvement going on in certain areas of the zoo but it doesn't interfere with your experience. My only complaint is the actual walkway: it should be a surface that can easily walked on. That is, when pushing a wheelchair, strollers, or even walking with a cane it is difficult to maneuver on those flagstones that are currently there. Picnicking, play areas, and snack bars make for a fine afternoon, InshaaAllaah.
