King Fahd's Fountain, Jeddah

Must see · Fountain · Tourist Spot
Fed by saltwater from the Red Sea, King Fahd's Fountain represents one of the tallest fountains in the world, shooting into the sky a single plume of water. Visible across Jeddah, the fountain was completed in 1985, donated to the city by King Fahd. The iconic landmark is visible from many vantage points, but remains most impressive when viewed from the shoreline. Head to the water's edge and see the sheer force of the single fountain jet, lit up as the sun goes down for that picture-perfect moment. • Visit once a while, the fountain starts in the evening, fun fact, it gives out 8000 litres of water per second to generate the height. The place becomes much better in good weather conditions

  • The fountain was donated to the city of Jeddah by King Fahad, hence its name. It was constructed between 1980 and 1983 and was launched in 1985. Located on the west coast of Saudi Arabia, the fountain jets water to a maximum height, according to different sources, of either 260 metres (853 ft) or 312 m (1,024 ft) above the Red Sea. Whichever figure is considered the actual height for the fountain, it is the world's tallest. The second-tallest is the World Cup Fountain , with a water height of 202 m (663 ft) ⛲⛲ Feels honor to see such a view⛲⛲ Beautifully attracts your attention.
