Historic Site
Located adjacent to the Palazzo Pubblico, Piazza della Liberta sits surrounded by cozy cafes, restaurants, and shops. Visitors stop here mainly for the view of the valley and houses below. Within the square, you'll find the Statua della Liberta, whose white marble image seems to guard over the area. It was erected as a symbol of freedom and is what gives this piazza its name. • Piazza della Liberta is a wonderful place to just be there and relax quietly, take a photo and think of the past, enjoying the view, people and monuments in a nice sunny March day. I loved it.  more »

  • Cool spot, this is the square outside the 'parliament' building which can be visited, no booking required. Great building, interesting history (great gelato nearby). San Marino, hidden gem.  more »

  • Compare to other touristic sights, especially in Italy, this was like sanctuary that any Estonian can appreciate - with amazing view, peaceful without crowd. It was really homey for me, since their official flag has same colours as my hometown :).
  • Fantastic view from this square in the centre of the old san Marino republic. Here you can see the parliamemt with the typical change of the guards.....
  • Really great museum and panoramic views!
  • Nice livable town, with amazing views
  • Superb panoramic view with Italy under the foot of San Marino ! Beautiful ! Different feel in different seasons !
