To Sua Ocean Trench, Lalomanu
Categories: Geologic Formations, Nature & Parks
Marvel at the splendor of To Sua Ocean Trench, a massive swimming hole filled with blue water and surrounded by lush vegetation. The swimming hole is set deep in the ground, so a ladder is required to enter and exit. The water fills the hole via an ancient lava tube connected to the ocean, which creates a current. Weak swimmers can take hold of a rope across the center of the hole. Bring something to cover up with when you're not swimming, as conservative dress is requested out of the water. A few picnic tables are available, so consider packing some refreshments. To Sua Ocean Trench is just one of the many highlights you can arrange to see using our international travel planner, Upolu Edition.

grounds and gardens amazing walk down to the beach and the small blow holes lovely, but to go to the pool was along walk and a very scary ladder but water fine when you get there.
Don't miss this when you are in Samoa - it is just so magical! The drive out is also really nice as it takes you around one side of the island.
Amazing place! Ladder a little daunting but the four of us managed it fine (kids 13 & 11). Quite a drive to get to from Apia town but well worth it
