Inspirock Rating:
3.4/5 based on 190+ reviews on the web
View one of the longest waterfalls in Samoa at Papapapaitai Falls. Visitors can't actually reach the falls--this grand cascade is only viewable from afar, at a viewpoint next to the road. However, on a sunny day, it's a beautiful sight even from a distance. If you visit the viewpoint after a rainfall, when the waterfall is at its strongest, you may even hear a distant thundering. Put Papapapaitai Falls into our Upolu travel itinerary maker and find out what's close by, where to stay, and where to head next.

  • Pretty falls, quiet and isolated from town You'll need a car to get there or the local bus Nice photo spot
  • As a quick visit it's not too bad. SAT$5 each to view and no facilities. As with all Samoa, if it's a good beach or a good view, someone will want paying to let you see or use it.
  • A road side stop gives instant access to the views of these falls. Not much forewarning by way of signage so keep an eye out for the one and only sign.
