  • The museum itself is a small and rather specializes in excursions and socio-educational work. The exhibition has both fixed (permanent) and updated. As far as it is the history of the city, because the Museum is called that way, then I would strongly recommended to visit the exhibition on the history of Yoshkar-Ola only with a guide (often recruited group), because without it the exposure indoors to do. Lots of pictures, elements of national welfare-pictures of Mari circuits and looked like one. BUT, nothing is clear without being accompanied by a guide, because it tells the most interesting information and links all these elements together into a coherent story, and the story actually turns out interesting and cognitive. Periodical exhibitions, unfortunately I did not attend, there's nothing to add. The Museum team is friendly, responsive and founded (know what they are talking about, can answer additional questions, rather than just a closed text). to visit recommend, but with a guide.

  • In this museum is worth 60 rubles, but it does not look at that. There is only one small room and very noticeable that exposure has not upgraded. At the end of vtjuhali bestolkovuju questionnaire for filling (there were many unexplained issues on a Museum).

  • The Museum should be interesting both for tourists and for young city dwellers. Unfortunately, in the history of the City Museum presents only up to 1917 year. Without a guide, there is little that would be understandable. A big plus of the Museum is its active work on development of tourism in the city and a variety of entertaining and educational events and workshops for residents and visitors.
