Private Museum Music and Time, Yaroslavl

(4.5/5 based on 460+ reviews on the web)
Explore the collection of antique clocks, bells, samovars, old irons, phonographs, and musical instruments at Private Museum Music and Time. John Mostoslavsky, a popular illusionist and magician, opened one of the first private museums in Russia in the early 1990s. His collection now occupies three historical buildings and features more than 1,000 bells and 10,000 records, none of which are hidden behind glass. Listen to the guides play popular tunes on the bells and unusual piano-organs. See how various gramophones and music boxes operate, while the clocks constantly chime. Guided tours are usually in Russian only. Put Private Museum Music and Time into our Yaroslavl itinerary planner and find out what's close by, where to stay, and where to head next.

  • music and time "has existed for fifteen years in Yaroslavl. And from the outset he announced himself as a bright phenomenon among already established hiking trails. Over the years, "rooted" Concert Hall, an excellent restaurant, a hotel, a puppet theatre and a small medical center. The Museum is not boring, active tour guides, exhibits you can touch, and hear. Collected musical instruments and watches zolotofonnyh collection, cute icons and much more. Convenient-indeed, most holidaymakers will still be sure to go to the waterfront. Get out (if) on the East. Red square (we have this) and straight to the waterfront, and then along! Don't miss anything. Excellent museum restaurant lunch on weekdays, price reasonable.

  • Presented in a large number of collections of irons, bells, clocks and musical instruments. Everything is interesting, you can touch, cute girl guides all tell. The only thing: all this is located in too little space. When the influx of visitors really have nowhere to turn.

  • Visited this place at a wedding as the distinction for the guests. The idea is interesting, informative, not fatiguing to guests and honeymooners. Were the original photos, a lot of humor and positive, brought this excursion.

  • The museum has a lot of working exhibits. The museum will be interesting for people who are interested in history or music.
  • A museum good for a quick visit. It shows instruments to play music, tools and decorations in the past.
  • Very interactive display of rarities that you shouldn't miss if you plan a trip to Yaroslavl
  • Interesting tourist route. Very good talks about the exhibits girl-guide. Richly filled with a collection of all kinds of clocks, bells (my weakness, could not tear themselves away from the cabinets, quietly envied) and other Antiquities.

  • The Museum an interesting, albeit small. A bit spoils impression is very compressed in time tour (without examination)-because of this does not work as it should all consider.
