4.6/5 based on 220+ reviews on the web
Climb the bell tower and explore three centuries of architecture in the archbishops' courtyard of Vologda Kremlin. Capture a panoramic view of the city from the chapel, and walk around the steward's house and the bishop's chambers, named after Archbishop Simon, under whom it was constructed in 1669. Wander through the Baroque Joseph block, constructed from 1764-1769. Even though the area has never been under attack, the surrounding high walls with their loopholes and covered transitions inside are reminiscent of a fortress, designed symbolically to indicate that the strong walls represent the ideological glorification of the church and the bishops. Wear comfortable shoes to walk around, and note that when you are climbing the bell tower, you can often feel it sway in the wind. • Not worth the review describing the history of the Kremlin, its easy to read. And here are the emotions that it evokes, is very important. The real roots of Russia, is the least that saved by the efforts of devotees. This is where we must invest so that children understand that we don't live in a dump. The Kremlin is clearly visible and the problems of the State, and the ability to gain cultural dignity. Good luck to everyone who wants to visit the Kremlin.

  • Very beautiful place. Not transmitted the atmosphere of the old town and the province. Quietly, calmly, conciliative!
