Memorial-Historical Museum, Volgograd

4.5
The 9/11 Memorial remembers and honors the 2,983 people who were killed in the horrific attacks of September 11, 2001 and February 26, 1993. The design, created by Michael Arad and Peter Walker, consists of two reflecting pools formed in the footprints of the original Twin Towers and a plaza of trees.

The 9/11 Memorial Museum displays monumental artifacts linked to the events of 9/11, while presenting intimate stories of loss, compassion, reckoning, and recovery that are central to telling the story of the 2001 and 1993 attacks and the aftermath.

  • This museum, located in an old mansion Repnikovyh merchants (miraculously survived after the battle of Stalingrad), are exhibits telling the story of the first world war and civil war. Located near the main train station. Recommend to visit.

  • Bad Museum. Indifferent employees. I felt bad next to the Museum, I came there to at least some water. They gave me some water in a glass, the one with the mold containing the old disposable tea bags. No more assistance and participation I not waited. Drank a pill, drag myself to the station where I had honey. assistance. Thank you, the Museum staff!! You are responsive and kind people!!

  • The museum itself is interesting .... But people who work there, with disgruntled persons: "Che cornered", most visitors are looking Wolf. One lady (collaborator), passed the border of middle-aged, for us as Cerberus went. It was very unpleasant! After such a visit, in general the desire to once again come not. I believe that if you're going to work with people, then at least you should be friendly and able to communicate, the man still is the place to visit the people and not for privacy officers. How to instill in our children a love of the history of our country and respect, if still in museums operate such people who come to work to relieve themselves. In such places, people need to work on.

  • Well, you can look through. Themes of the 1st World War. But actually the stay is somewhat clouded by the unfriendly staff. You would pay 50 rubles per photo. This one is tracked at every step the to check, I suppose.
