Historic Walking Area Tourist Spot
View monuments and sculptures of the many local heroes that fought in the Battle of Stalingrad at Alley of the Heroes. Walk along the alley, which leads all the way to the Volga River, to learn about the history of the nation and explore the area. One side has a monument dedicated to the 192 heroes of the Soviet Union who were born in Volgograd, while across the way stands a monument of 127 heroes of the Soviet Union who received their titles during the Battle of Stalingrad. Take a stroll through the adjacent gardens, and if you're hungry, stop at one of the restaurants surrounding the park. Dress warmly as it can get chilly near the river embankment.
