Eagle's Nest Mount, Vladivostok

4.5
Admire the scenic view of downtown and the Golden Horn Bay, with its multitude of ships and imposing bridge, from the top of Eagle's Nest Mount. Rising 199 m (653 ft) above sea level, this extinct volcano is a high point in the center of Vladivostok. On its top you'll find a monument dedicated to Saints Cyril and Methodius, the 9th-century Greek missionaries who introduced Christianity and literacy to the Slavs. However, don't expect to see any eagles here. The mount is actually named after a peak in Bulgaria, where the Russian forces defeated the Turks back in the 19th century. The walk up to the top plateau is not too difficult, and there is also a cable car that will take you there for a small fee. Eagle's Nest Mount is just one of the many highlights you can arrange to see using our international travel planner, Vladivostok Edition.

  • Eagle fortress gazebo than you think is not easy to access. The only thing that goes up and does not want to recommend a walk to the funicular ride up to see better at night (except packages), Makin ... Observatory facilities now and don't have much around the facility no later than 9: before and after a quick walk down the recommendation. The view is okay. Vladivostok port and the station, bridge, go see the city

  • Nobody seems to be famous in the car at me photo (100 rubles) to have women dressed in cute costumes. Vladivostok station, left a naval port on the right side is very helpful. The temperature is 30 degrees Celsius! Hot Venice by cable car, right. No souvenir shops on the observation deck had a drab feeling is this Russia wind?. Whatever Russia alphabet devised a lookout sits the statue of Saints Cyril and Methodius and who seems to be. Why are two people here are surprising.

  • Arrived at the commanding heights of the tramway, cable is quite cheap, and will give you a small ticket, overlooking sea-crossing bridge, the scenery is beautiful, suitable for taking pictures, had better take advantage of sunny days to go, the blue of the sky and water is very, very recommended, that's something to see,

Where to stay in Vladivostok

One of the most popular destinations of the Russian Far East, Vladivostok offers its visitors plenty of options for a place to stay. You'll find many centrally located hotels, as well as those in residential areas; and because of the city's bay location, sea-view rooms are not an uncommon feature. Several high-end hotels cater to well-heeled travelers, while those with more modest budgets will also find plenty of options, including smaller hotels, bed and breakfasts, and hostels. If you prefer self-catering accommodation, look for apartments in some of the most popular locations around the city.
