  • Were in suzdal-Vladimir many times, and in all seasons. The last time in November 2015. In most cases, stayed in different hotels Suzdal, then by car went on excursion to Vladimir. But once lived in Vladimir, directly next to the Golden Gate. Also had an interesting trip. But always we have the two cities went pair. If visited Vladimir, visited and Suzdal. And vice versa. The two cities are very different. Vladimir-large and is the regional center, suzdal-little, a gingerbread village. but something in common there too. Architecture, monasteries and the spirit of ancient Russia. In Vladimir, in principle, it is interesting only in the Center. Dormition Cathedral, museums, Golden Gate, etc. Still near the Church of the intercession on the NERL. Further, Vladimir is a big city with residential tracts and quicklaunch bar, better not waste my time. Suzdal same-little toy town. It's all at your fingertips. And in addition to the huge number of churches, monasteries, the Kremlin, the Museum of wooden architecture, etc. There's nice to simply wander the streets. Look at a variety of one and two-story houses. Dine in a small tavern. There's just resting soul. The benefit of this is not far from Moscow, many come for the weekend. So, a lot of tourists at any time of the year. A lot of foreigners. Hotels and restaurants-all at a decent level (although in many places the staff did not speak English). Invested in tourist business much. And the prices are also a-Moscow.

  • 20 August went to the Festival of spiritual music and bells kolokol′nyh SUMMER of the LORD, which was held in suzdal in the territory Peacefully Transfiguration monastery. The program looked at infoportale city, where it was written that the entrance to the holiday free, on site, it turned out that free entry was only till 13.00. It is not the first time we come to suzdal, this place does not need advertising. The road from Moscow, BUT in Lakinske-Demidove go roadworks, there stood 7:00. It is necessary to take into account this sad fact, planning to travel by car. Parking near the monastery comfortable, we paid 100 rubles per 2:00.

  • I write not about cultural heritage, I write about work, specifically the museum reserve. Apparently a large number of tourists, substantially impairs work Museum-reserve. Book a tour in Vladimir was able to only 4 times, the excuse was just killing, we go organized tour groups, they are configured to work if you individually call later, you probably just don't arrive. A very unpleasant attitude, in the end I still made that they set aside for us tour, a second humiliation was on arrival, she was looking for my order and if I wouldn't have said the name-surname woman who recorded my order, I am not sure that my reserve. Like another issue with the price on the site tour of the Vladimir-1600 rub., I asked you at the car, I said no, then-1800. Asked why, replied that the Guide would have to then walk))) the excursion was quite superficial. By the way, see timetable on site attractions, all work on your schedule, and with their holidays. The overall impression of a strange historical place, spectacular sights. The Museum staff in doubt, quite expensive prices on sightseeing trips. I can't even say how the Council, take a tour or not. Probably, if you don't know anything and scrap something to watch, take, otherwise on the Internet read on-line is much bigger and nobody will be nowhere to haul, but check the schedule.
