Get a glimpse of Vladimir's former greatness at Golden Gate Military Monument, which once served as the main entrance to the city. Built in 1164 during Alexander Bogolyubsky's reign, the gates used to welcome foreign ambassadors, special guests, and returning warriors to the city. Today the gate stands at the center of a roundabout, evocative of France's Arc de Triomphe. Notice the thick walls constructed with white stone, the oak sections gilded with copper sheets, and the golden dome crowning the top. Walk through the gates for good luck, or head inside to learn more about Vladimir in the history museum. If you are just passing through the city, the gates can be seen easily by car or foot. • Located on the main avenue in the Centre of Vladimir and embedded in a roundabout. Nothing to highlight. The saw on the outside.

  • Golden Gate themselves-a symbol of the city and historical place, because it is the only gate 7 of the walls of the city of Vladimir 12 century, preserved (as I understood). The Museum is not impressed, you may need to first go into it, and then in the Historical. The diorama is interesting, but there are more exciting. It is my feeling that they might be wrong. Visit the need-as a historic landmark.
