  • The Sunni mosque of Vladikavkaz was worthy of you went into it. Interesting architecture, thanks to which you now can judge exactly look like Sunni mosques. The current mosque and Moreover-this mosque was rescued by residents of Vladikavkaz, bearing arms, to prevent carry it during the Soviet times. Power was forced to give the status of the historic mosque of the object protected by the State.

  • Despite the fact that the population of Vladikavkaz, as in the whole of North Ossetia in his majority professes orthodoxy, but a symbol of the city is the mosque. On the north side are two minarets and entrance to the mosque is decorated with a balcony and a Lancet arch. Minarets have spiral staircases and balconies in two tiers. The mosque was built in 1906-1908 Gg. on the left bank of the Terek River by the architect Gaspare Ploshko. This mosque was built with the money of the Sunni community. A large share in the construction of this mosque has made m. Mukhtarov and dedicated it to his beloved wife Christian Lisa Tuganovoj. Therefore, this mosque is considered to be another symbol of love.
