Tula State Museum of Weapons, Tula

(4.8/5 based on 750+ reviews on the web)
Housed in a former gun factory, Tula State Museum of Weapons plays home to an extensive collection of firearms, swords, and other tools of war from both Russia and around the world. Explore the museum's holdings, which originated from Peter the Great's personal armory during the late 18th century, and you'll get a glimpse of weapon development and production from throughout the past five centuries, up to the modern day. View everything from ceremonial cavalry swords to muskets to contemporary weapons including the ubiquitous AK-47 assault rifle. Keep in mind the fact that, as Tula used to be one of Russia's most important arms-production areas, many of the objects within the museum emerged from the very factory you're touring. • Previously visited Museum of weapons in the Kremlin. But here is much more interesting. There are interactive ToolTips for each stand, for kids-games, where they can try on uniforms, wielding weapons.

  • Very good
  • Insanely liked. The Museum can be called truly the hallmark of Tula. A lot of interactivity. It is noteworthy that here he was very competent and to the point. The guide was excellent. Also advise to come with children, for they have given a really interesting program and, in addition, the entrance to 16 years free of charge. A huge plus. Thank you!

  • The Museum of weapons go regularly from year to year are leading their guests to Tula)) but usually went to old, in the territory of the Kremlin, and the new only admired outside the building in the form of Russian helmet is impressive. During this visit relatives led them to a new Museum of weapons, and decided to watch themselves. Not disappointed-the Museum placed on glory!, with the exhibits, they are made with the latest technology, interactive guides and screens that show movies and stories about the history of weapons, many exhibits that can be touched. Very polite and warning telling the Museum staff the exhibits, there are equipped with space for relaxation. Experienced a sense of pride in their Museum!

  • The Museum is very good. Roomy, light. Small defects in descriptions of exhibits slightly spoil the impression.
