#1 of 109 in Things to do in Tula
Housed in a former gun factory, Tula State Museum of Weapons plays home to an extensive collection of firearms, swords, and other tools of war from both Russia and around the world. Explore the museum's holdings, which originated from Peter the Great's personal armory during the late 18th century, and you'll get a glimpse of weapon development and production from throughout the past five centuries, up to the modern day. View everything from ceremonial cavalry swords to muskets to contemporary weapons including the ubiquitous AK-47 assault rifle. Keep in mind the fact that, as Tula used to be one of Russia's most important arms-production areas, many of the objects within the museum emerged from the very factory you're touring. • A great permanent exhibition weapons of all times and peoples, many of the pilot and a single premium, and trophy. Children less than 6 years, certainly not as much fun as the more senior, but also interesting because many of the interactive material, even tablets at the showcases with exhibit can tell a lot about a particular kind of weapons. With his wife went with their mouths open. The quick Exposition goes at least 3:00 would ideally need a day

  • Take on the visiting the Museum at least 2 hours to 5 children very young years probably won't be interesting. And spend the money in advance and guide, very interesting.

  • Long did not want to go to this Museum, because always visited old exhibition in the Kremlin. In January 2014, was here with tourists. Didn't like it at all, because the half-empty halls, etc. but last time I heard from all the rave reviews. Decided to check out. Daaaaaaaaaaaaaaaa! for 4 years, so much to do-it's fantastic. 5! floors of exhibits, interactive displays, a helicopter. shooting range, guns take, live event participants. This is great. As a history teacher, experienced white envy teachers Tula, who can spend here unforgettable lessons. An excellent gift shop. It is a pity that no video disk with the materials exhibited on the 5 floor: 12 great victories of Russia. For any teacher, but not only, this treasure.

  • This museum's exhibition is richly equipped with samples of Russian and foreign weapons that forged history and influenced culture. Each exhibition window has a corresponding interactive screen with detailed historical notes and photos/artwork. Additionally, there are pieces of history other than weapons: mini-cinemas with short clips dedicated to WWII, room exteriors of that time. Plus, you can hold some weapons in your hands and paw for a cool photo, like I did!
  • Must see place when visiting Tula. Fantastic place, excellent for the kids. There are a lot of interactive tools and presentations. There are gaming zones for kids - absolutely amazing. Historic Costumes, weapon, toys, interactive tablets and computers, just great! There's pneumatic shooting range, cafe. Highly recommend to visit
  • Really interesting exhibition of arms. Four floors of ancient and modern weapons.
  • Beautiful modern museum building.
  • Museum has weapon exposition from middle age till now. But 4th and 5th floors with modern weaponry are under construction
