Tula Kremlin Museum, Tula
(3.9/5 based on 550+ reviews on the web)
Don't miss the chance to visit Tula Kremlin Museum, an impressive historical monument and one of the city's main attractions. Located in the center of the city, the brilliantly preserved 16th-century fortress offers great views and gives you insight into the past. Inside the walls you will find two cathedrals, dating back to the 18th and the 19th centuries. The Assumption Cathedral is the older one, and its bell tower has been fully restored after damage from a 1936 fire. The newer Epiphany Cathedral houses a museum of weapons that showcases everything from medieval swords to Cold War firearms. Various museum exhibits are also displayed inside the kremlin towers. While visiting the exhibits requires admission fees, you can walk around the fortress and admire the architecture for free. For travelers who use our online itinerary creator, Tula holidays become easier to arrange, with trips to the Tula Kremlin Museum and other attractions mapped out and timetabled.

  • The usual Kremlin which is in many Russian cities. In General, all beautifully and restored. Many souvenir shops and the beautiful Cathedral.

  • Pros:-very cool and diverse souvenirs in the walls, you can remain pressed for a long time. -Museum of weapons inside with ofigennoj exhibition of knightly armor and weapons (the originals!)-any servant of the Museum with the obvious is happy to answer any question you all he knows on the subject. Cons: inside the Kremlin just empty space with rare trees and cast benches. Where to Park-this? Why old trees cut down?

  • Tula Kremlin small town attracts visitors for centuries, not always tourists, of course. For those familiar with Novgorod or Pskov Kremlin, not to mention Moscow, Tula Kremlin seem to copy in miniature. Recently hosted the restoration of Kremlin apparently killed dozens of old trees. Territory inside turned into a park for local residents, with newly planted young trees-a hasty decision, unusual to see "hairless" space. On the territory there are several historical buildings. Also several souvenir shops will delight visitors with traditional tul'skimi products-cakes and samovars and other gizmos.
