Tula Kremlin Museum, Tula

(3.9/5 based on 650+ reviews on the web)
Don't miss the chance to visit Tula Kremlin Museum, an impressive historical monument and one of the city's main attractions. Located in the center of the city, the brilliantly preserved 16th-century fortress offers great views and gives you insight into the past. Inside the walls you will find two cathedrals, dating back to the 18th and the 19th centuries. The Assumption Cathedral is the older one, and its bell tower has been fully restored after damage from a 1936 fire. The newer Epiphany Cathedral houses a museum of weapons that showcases everything from medieval swords to Cold War firearms. Various museum exhibits are also displayed inside the kremlin towers. While visiting the exhibits requires admission fees, you can walk around the fortress and admire the architecture for free. For travelers who use our online itinerary creator, Tula holidays become easier to arrange, with trips to the Tula Kremlin Museum and other attractions mapped out and timetabled.

  • Beautiful and peaceful place, really very well kept, ideal for walks and long conversations. It is better to refrain from visiting in hot weather, practically no shadow, and tile just glowing with heat. In addition to the paths and benches, inside the Museum of weapons (more interesting boys and men), the current church, a restaurant, and plenty of souvenir shops, one of which is placed the gingerbread man-high. Directly next to the Kremlin is quite a fascinating Museum of samovars.
