  • Excursion was interesting. Usually I don't like gingerbreads but lady told the history of Tula Gingerbread very interesting so i was waiting to try some of them. We thought that we will have several p...  more »
  • This museum was on my must-see list before the visit to Tula. Now it is not. Why? Firstly, it is situated not in the historic center. It is a good half hour from the Kremlin. Then, the facility is ver...  more »
  • The Museum, in my opinion, it seems mandatory to attend-Tula same gingerbread! ... but don't miss anything important if you don't go. The exposition represents a collection of all sorts of cakes, including traditional forms. There are very interesting, for example, gingerbread "errors" beginning of 20 c. also had a gingerbread-records by weight. Pro Tour can not tell anything-didn't take. The Museum Shop, by sizes quite compare =) Staff very friendly, homely. But the most interesting was reading the responses of visitors (which is a large part of exposition) from all over the world: China, Germany, United Kingdom. Oh and our personalities-Yakubovich, Kobzon, etc. =)

  • First before anything else make an appointment if you want to see what's inside. If you can somehow manage to do this I'll assume you understand Russian, because nothing in the museum is in anything other than Russian. If you can get inside (the cost is 100 rubles per person) they don't let you take any pictures. The only things I was able to understand not knowing much Russian was that they have a 50kg gingerbread on display, and how they make the gingerbread. The making the gingerbread I found the most interesting. They have a 15-20 second video that plays on a loop that shows the process for putting the design into the gingerbread and putting the jam or other filling in the middle. The shop attached to the museum has a lot of different gingerbreads for sale. The prices seemed a bit high compared to other ones I had seen that day at different festivals. I was told that the bread I bought has a shelf life of about 3 months.
  • The museum itself is very tiny, and not very interesting. I was hoping to see the production of pryaniki - but they only show a short 30 second video from the 90s. But definitely go to the store - they have a big variety of pryaniki and they are very fresh!!!
  • A small but interesting Museum. We were lucky we were able to join the Group of schoolchildren (on an excursion in the Museum in advance record group, just do not hit), told many interesting things. Gingerbread in store naisvezhajshee and most delicious in Thule, can not doubt. Tried in different places, these best only there and buy them.

  • How to stay in Tula and not stay in the Museum of gingerbread? Be sure to take the tour, detailed and interesting to tell. Without excursions is not what will look simply different gingerbread.

  • Had a rest with the husband Tula on Christmas holidays. A visit to this Museum, and we tried to get there January 4, 2017 onwards, became the most negative point. It turns out you cannot visit the Museum yourself must be recorded on the tour. We heard about this young lady in a headscarf, not straying people on the threshold. And we had about 15 people adults plus children of different ages. They break from 14.00 till 15.00, but the door was locked already at 13.40. Bottom line-if you plan to visit the Museum yourself, then you should consider this "trifle" record on the tour.
