  • Any direct associations with excursions in Tulu? Weapons, Samovar, gingerbread! Visited this museum consisting of 2 rooms with Windows. Rather, it is an exhibition hall at the store. Prices on gingerbread, I must say, in cheaper than in-store factory outlet. I wonder why? A tourist is still buys? Well, that didn't take a tour for 500 rubles, cost input on 80. In the first room was just tour and us held in Hall 2. Again, well, that didn't take a tour-I would not have survived such information))) Patetichnoe improving the voice and not the right intonation caused us attack of laughter and puzzled))) then witnessed a conversation guide with organizer not visiting group as something very rude ...

  • The museum itself consists of two small rooms. Exhibits-the gingerbread and wooden forms. All the pretty odnotipno. Museum staff bad reviews, but to us they seemed normal ladies. Very upset that I had to wait on the street until the end of the tour. The administration of the Museum or "old Tula", which owns the Museum, could take care of the visitors, which keeps closed doors and at least put benches in close. Frankly, donated their time and visit this museum. The gingerbread sold at every step, in all stores, which bought gingerbread sellers willing to talk and the factories and the difference in the recipe Gingerbread. And their history. And most importantly, what they are in stores cheaper. Can not recommend visiting this museum. Better talk with sellers of gingerbread products in many stores.

  • This is a museum store. As an addition to the store is a great option. As a standalone object-hopeless idea. BTW in store good gingerbread)

  • First before anything else make an appointment if you want to see what's inside. If you can somehow manage to do this I'll assume you understand Russian, because nothing in the museum is in anything other than Russian. If you can get inside (the cost is 100 rubles per person) they don't let you take any pictures. The only things I was able to understand not knowing much Russian was that they have a 50kg gingerbread on display, and how they make the gingerbread. The making the gingerbread I found the most interesting. They have a 15-20 second video that plays on a loop that shows the process for putting the design into the gingerbread and putting the jam or other filling in the middle. The shop attached to the museum has a lot of different gingerbreads for sale. The prices seemed a bit high compared to other ones I had seen that day at different festivals. I was told that the bread I bought has a shelf life of about 3 months.
  • The museum itself is very tiny, and not very interesting. I was hoping to see the production of pryaniki - but they only show a short 30 second video from the 90s. But definitely go to the store - they have a big variety of pryaniki and they are very fresh!!!
  • A small but interesting Museum. We were lucky we were able to join the Group of schoolchildren (on an excursion in the Museum in advance record group, just do not hit), told many interesting things. Gingerbread in store naisvezhajshee and most delicious in Thule, can not doubt. Tried in different places, these best only there and buy them.

  • How to stay in Tula and not stay in the Museum of gingerbread? Be sure to take the tour, detailed and interesting to tell. Without excursions is not what will look simply different gingerbread.

  • Had a rest with the husband Tula on Christmas holidays. A visit to this Museum, and we tried to get there January 4, 2017 onwards, became the most negative point. It turns out you cannot visit the Museum yourself must be recorded on the tour. We heard about this young lady in a headscarf, not straying people on the threshold. And we had about 15 people adults plus children of different ages. They break from 14.00 till 15.00, but the door was locked already at 13.40. Bottom line-if you plan to visit the Museum yourself, then you should consider this "trifle" record on the tour.

Where to stay in Tula

Accommodation in the industrial center of Tula is fairly limited compared to more popular tourist destinations. You can find several higher-end hotels both in the city center and in the more tranquil areas outside the city limits. Most hotels and bed and breakfasts in the city are mid-range establishments, offering cozy atmosphere and good selection of amenities at affordable prices. A couple of hostels and several apartments round out the lodging options.
