  • Ethnographic museum in Syktyvkar is a division of the National Museum of the Republic of Komi, the largest and oldest Museum of the Republic, which was founded October 17, 1911 at the meeting objects of Ethnography, archaeology, paleontology, and a small library. Department of Ethnography is located in the monument of architecture of XIX century-former Derbenevyh merchants trading house. Here the Exposition "the traditional culture of Komi in the rites of the life cycle of the late XIX-early XX centuries" the exposition of the Museum, we are then on a rustic wedding, are present in old rituals, pass on interiors of peasant houses, hunting lodge, or baths. Rare for provincial museums-there are audio guides, use which I suggest are necessary. Cost of attendance-80 rub. ticket and 140 roubles audioguide. Photographing was allowed free of charge. The time required for a visit of about 1:00. Negative, in my opinion, only one-the Museum is closed on Sunday, which is weird for museums. Historical and literary exposition of the National Museum, and not in the nature of Division I and did not go.
