  • Visited the Museum in the Golden autumn. A small, but very cozy Park where good walk in silence .... Palace Museum may not leave a great impression if you have recently been in Peterhof/Tsarskoye Selo/Pavlovsk, however beautiful it is. A small museum, which is devoted to the history of this building, its owners. Hall struck me most to question floor-small but very beautiful due to paintings that are presented there! Recommend to visit on a weekend day and better come early while no tourists.

  • Decided suddenly to visit this Palace. From positive-territory near the Palace (flowerbeds, compositions, fountains), the lack of tourists, the territorial availability. Of the negative-not offered audioguide. And since I visited the Palace individually, without tours and group, without a tour guide there uninteresting. Just over 250 rub for 7 minutes to run through the halls and all. And in the halls of far not everyone exhibits there are explanatory plaques, which is pretty weird. And nothing can be photographed. If you want to get any positive emotions from this site, or visit the Palace by an organized group or require audioguide

  • Visited this Palace on the way to the Konstantinovskomu Palace. On the grounds of the Palace have fountains, Garden, flowers, beautiful formleny lawns. In the Palace in General nothing unusual there.

  • Very nice Palace, residence of Peter 1, is one of the oldest in the history of St. Petersburg. The entrance fee is 250 rubles per person, in addition you can purchase audio guides or tour. Of the most striking exhibits I'd identified: huge carved mirror, quilt, custom made personally by Catherine 1, portrait of Peter 1, grandfather clocks end of 18 century and, of course, furniture-it is magnificent! Several rooms of the Palace are devoted to a life here Duke Konstantin Nikolayevich. The same individual attention should be paid to visit an orchard, according to legend, it was here that the first was grown potatoes! The Park near the Palace Track very neat and free to attend, on the territory of a small apartment building, there are also free toilet. Unfortunately, the Interior of the Palace taking pictures)

  • Audio guide offered at all, the housekeeper in the Hall was unable to answer the simplest question (she flipped that someone of sightseers turned), exhibits no plates. Apparently, good only with the group, and individually-you can not walk. You save. Can mark territory around the Palace-Immaculate, tasteful, very nice

  • Today at the Palace. Really liked it, but be sure to grab your audio guide or tour, walk just like that wouldn't be very interesting. We listened to the entire audio-guide. It is a pity that photograph and shoot cannot be and there really are a lot of beautiful things and interiors. Liked the antique mirror in solid black frame, carved wooden cabinets, there are wardrobe year 1740, 1750 year grandfather clocks, and every quarter of an hour beat off a different "zvonochkami". As we said their housekeeper, once a week. Who was not, I advise to visit, not many visitors, all you can see without haste.

  • A superb walk turned out! The territory is small and well groomed, restored vegetable garden and orchards. The excursion is very detail almost on every exhibit in the Museum halls. There are real things.

  • A very interesting Museum, with a very interesting history. In what roles do not only acted this building during its history-and stop at the home of Peter and 1 Guest House of Catherine, German Headquarters during the time of World War 2, and a kindergarten in Soviet times. Now he is well renovated and spend wonderful excursions. Highly recommend!

Where to stay in St. Petersburg

For luxury hotels with a price tag to match, you can't beat the city's historical heart--Palace Square--and Nevsky Prospekt, the main avenue that connects the square to the Neva River. The area around St. Isaac's Cathedral, at the west end of Nevsky Prospekt, also offers a great selection of luxury and mid-range options. If you want to see the other side of the city, consider staying on Vasilyevsky Island, at the mouth of the river. Increased competition means that St. Petersburg now offers a wide range of inexpensive but funky hostels scattered throughout the city.
