  • The charm of our provincial cities in extraordinary species that suddenly open up either the river or the gilded domes among low-rise houses. This Bayou! The monastery was restored, and of course it pleases. But look at this little town which opens here with a fairly steep banks of the river Volga, also did not leave without attention.

  • In 60 km from Tver is the small town of Staritsa, founded in the 13 century by Prince Michael Twersky. Today its population is only about 8 thousand people, but the Bayou is famous svyato-Uspensky male monastery. It was founded Kyiv chernecami Nikandrom and Triphon on September before the city-in the early 12 century. Today this is one of the oldest monasteries in Russia completely restored and is in excellent condition. Despite the fact that went there in early spring, when the snow everywhere and standing Frost, it only reinforced the impression of magnificent architectural ensemble. Here he served as the first Patriarch job, repeatedly visited the Princes, Kings and emperors, and the preserved graveyard you can find famous names in Russia. This monastery has struck high-quality restoration, quiet and bezljudnost'ju. It can be visited at any time of the year and are always passing through the entrance gate, you will feel a light feeling from sacred places.

  • Bayou-ancient city, but all historic buildings mostly abandoned and falling apart. In addition to the monastery! Thanks to the work of the Foundation and individual personalities of the RF Government has changed significantly over the last monastery in 15 years. Range of fresh frescoes and gilded temples and pools heated floors. You can wander around the territory alone, but we are at the entrance of accidentally "caught" boy-Guide, and for one and a half thousand rubles he spent a grand tour (1.5 hours) in all temples and talked a bit about the city as a whole. Without a guide walk around the monastery is not saturated because there is no sign. In General, spend money on tour, it's worth it. Everywhere can be photographed, even in churches. Patty and marmalade in the monastery bakery to buy do not advise-tasteless.

  • While nearby take time, postpone the case and be sure to visit, at least briefly. Take a walk, look around, put in a church candle. It is a holy place. You will understand and prochuvstvute it yourself.

  • This is the heritage of our country. Priceless spiritual treasure, together with precious part of nature. All are extraordinary. Must be people living in the bustling metropolis, to visit the place at least once a year.

  • Well-preserved monastery with its Museum in the territory. However, from afar to ride here is hardly worth it.
