  • Between noisy and rich Krestovskim and a pompous Stone island is a cozy Yelagin Island covered with wonderful well-tended Park, filled with ponds and lawns. This place can be very useful, so tired of palaces and architecture, Baroque, Rococo, classicism. the center of the splendid St. Petersburg tourist, pokatavšijsâ at all possible rides in "Wonder island" on krestovsky, here on the Elagin finally rested and relaxed atmosphere could rethink TU a bunch of new experiences, which he got. On the eastern tip of the island is Yelagin Palace with numerous outbuildings and buildings. In front of the Palace lies the famous Elagin meadow is a meadow in the center of the city (protected by the State and walk, lie on it were banned, sorry). Area in front of the Palace with a meadow and buildings are so harmonious and complete, that being here forget that surrounds you big city that pogromyhivaet underground Metro and very close pass trestle grandiose WHSD. Noise does not reach this corner of serenity! Don't be lazy to get around the building and enjoy the architecture of its eastern façade. Also there can be no one forbidding him seated on the lawns and porelaksirovat′, looking at the sleepy water Medium Nevka River and stone island. Should definitely get on shady avenues Park to the observation deck on the West side of the island, where the granite embankment washed by Large and Medium Nevka River and away starts Misty Gulf. To the left of the Platform stands a Grand Assembly which became gold for Russia, and ahead Krestovsky Stadium appearance on the seashore a few spoils the WHSD bridge. On the Elagin also located and fun for children. Norwegian rope park and petting zoo. And opposite the island in an old village on the shore of Big Nevka River is a Buddhist datsan very unusual for St. Petersburg architecture!
