  • On my sixth visit to SPb, I finally got around to visiting this museum. What on earth was I waiting for? The history of the building is fascinating: the beautiful mansion was built for Tsar Nicholas I...  more »
  • The Museum, very rich in photos, testimonials, uniforms, posters, posters and slogans of the 20th century is in the building that was owned by the famous Russian ballerina Mathilda Kshesinskava lover of Nicholas, future Tsar of Russia. Visiting the Museum were the interviews with ordinary people who lived during the war years including one described the triumphal parade in red square after the end of World War II and also I noticed the collection of rifles of the period from 1950 to the late 80 's. There is also the speech of 1999 by Boris Yeltsin to the Russians, the photos of Russian rebellion from 1917 to 1922 and in particular in Saint Petersburg of 1917, the telling of the story of the world war, the furniture of the room where he worked. It is possible, take a fee, audio guides in English. A place to visit if you are interested in history. You can get there without problems in metro.
