  • In a frosty Friday February decided to take a walk on the Petrograd side, and having moved on pretty comfortable boat Trinity Bridge, marched towards Bolshoy prospect. Passing the Kshesinskaya mansion, accidentally saw new, modernly decorated entrance to the Museum of political history. Of course I was there and, moreover, relatively recently, but the kind of cozy yard attracted and I rolled into the depths. Not going to talk about the content of the exposure, since I am not a historian, and I won't be able to assess their scientific value, but many corners of the Museum reminded me about the times I happened to be witnessed and who remember sometimes with aching sadness, sometimes with a smile and sometimes with surprise. In the end, each has its own history, not political, and its personal, but inevitably associated with a time stamp. Can't say about the bright impressions, which impressed me the museum itself. All expositions are decorated with great taste, feel the hand of a professional designer, widely used interactive museum technology, you feel the emotional impact, you can say "breathing time". Any time it is shown through the lives of ordinary people read their daily worries, troubles and joys. Museum workers themselves very welcoming and friendly, and gentlemen in elegant costumes, working as caretakers, produce a special impression. Often the word "historical" is synonymous with the concept of "boring, straggler from time to time", but not in this case. I advise you to visit this very contemporary Museum not only to relax but also to look back and check for possible answers to topical questions. A huge thank you to the museums for their creative approach to history!

  • The exhibition proper, the Museum of political history is certainly very enlightening and interesting. Although sometimes contain outdated information. I was wondering myself beautiful mansion built in the style of "Northern modern", and well preserved and recovered fragments of old interiors. In the "old" part of the Museum Exposition devoted to a great Kschessinskaya. Several rooms, Hall, winter garden. Got a great pleasure.
