  • The appearance of the Palace with six-column portico, in my opinion, quite modest. But the history of the Palace is extremely rich in events. Not high-flown, humble and beautiful interior at the same time the Palace and its interiors evoked in me warmth. Interesting domed Hall, Catherine and Blue halls. I would encourage a tour, this is fascinating.

  • Visited the Tauride Palace by open city program. There's little left of the Palace, in the literal sense of the word, but the tour guide Tatyana held a good tour true preparation for the Forum in the Palace, but it has not stopped. Thanks to this program, so just did not hit and not just sit in the Hall, where sat the Tsar's Duma.

  • The plot now occupied by Taurian Palace was occupied during the reign of farmstead, zavedjonnym in case of arrival in Saint Petersburg Metropolitan Stephan (Jaworski). In the year 1782 in St. Petersburg arrived Governor-General of Novorossiysk, the Azov and Astrakhan provinces, His Serene Highness Prince Grigory Alexandrovich Potemkin. At that time, being a favorite of Catherine II, he actually was the second man in the Russian Empire. During his stay in St. Petersburg, he stayed in the Winter Palace, which was eventually considered for yourself uncomfortable. Potemkin decided to build for themselves in the capital's own Palace. For the construction of the plot was chosen on the Bank of the Neva, Sloboda native Potyomkin Konnogvardejskogo Regiment. It is in this regiment he once began his military career, he participated in the palace coup which Catherine II ascended the throne. With the beginning of construction of the Palace was called Konnogvardejskim House. The Palace architect Ivan starov, Egorevich became familiar.

  • A very nice and beautiful building, but nothing really special inside. Definitely worth walking around anyway.
  • Very important for Russian political history, but very difficult to get inside. No regular tours.
  • Very nice
  • Despite the fact that here periodically buzz and a lot of people garden always has a calming atmosphere. Seemingly, the garden in the Centre of the city. But really, for me, is calm, in terms of which the raging life city.

  • Beautiful Palace, you can book a place in group tours, writing in the Palace itself. When you register on their website, will be 400 rubles per ticket, without benefits. Strong contrast, modest façade and inside a very rich interior
