Inspirock Rating:
4.5/5 based on 420+ reviews on the web
Stroll among large oaks, rare flowers, fountains, and marble statues at Summer Garden. One of the few sites preserved since the time of Peter the Great, the garden was designed by the tsar and opened in 1704. Admire statues by 17th- and 18th-century Italian sculptors, which represent mythological themes, gods, and heroes of antiquity. Take a close look at the 18th-century iron fence and the circle of iron chairs made by 12 different blacksmiths. The garden also features the Summer Palace of Peter the Great, a coffee house, and a teahouse. • Were in St. Petersburg in mid-August. Summer garden after the upgrade is very good. Nafotografirovalis′ at the fountains and statues, fed ducks and swans that swam in the pond-accidentally ended up with a roll of white bread. I think there is good in every season, just the mood is different. Rain doesn't spoil anything too. Walking can be a long time, kind of wonderful

  • In this garden one can wander through beautiful alleys, watch the fountains, sit on a bench, listening to music at the monument Krylov, feed the ducks and swans in the pond. And from the atmosphere of this garden you will get a great mood for the whole day in any weather!

  • Wow. This is super place to visit as well. It's green atmosphere, all those tall trees, lovely fountains the tunnel garden every corner fascinates me. Very nice n cool place for the summer. I call it a forest in the city. See for yourself it's also near St. MICHAELS CASTLE and the famous Church of the Spilt Blood. 😃😉 Lovely St Petersburg ❤❤❤
  • A gorgeous park commissioned by Peter the Great. Beautiful monuments and fountains throughout. Take your time and go outside of peak hours to avoid the onslaught of tourists and visitors.
  • The oldest park in Saint Petersburg is certainly one of it's finest. It's like an outdoor art gallery. Enjoy the fine collection of garden statues -- among the oldest in all of Russia.
  • The most beutiful park I ever seen and must visit destination if you come to St Petersburg. Entrance is free.
  • Daily walk. Closed in April. Crowded during summer. Perfect in winter.
