  • Stroganoff Palace, which is now a branch of the State Russian Museum, was built by architect Rastrelli in 1753-1754. During the Soviet period, in the year 1919 a museum was opened in the building, which lasted until 1929 as a branch of the Hermitage. With the 1937 House was handed over to the military. The luxurious interiors of the Palace at the time significantly affected. in 1988, the Palace was handed over to Russian Museum and since 1991 here restoration works were carried out. We should pay tribute to the restorers, they have done a tremendous and very time-consuming job. In some rooms you'll see pictures of how the room looked like before the revolution and during the Soviet era, and will be able to understand how seriously had to work on interiors, to return them to its historical appearance. Now have the opportunity to visit the Palace and admire its decoration. The place is really gorgeous.

  • Very beautiful facades and interesting interiors. Entrance from the Nevsky prospect from under the arch
  • It is not as amasing as i hoped for
  • Nice view
  • An excellent Museum, where you can get acquainted with the history of the genus Stroganov. I recommend you take the tour. Few people even on the weekends, although undeservedly. There's definitely something to look at. The Palace has several dozen restored rooms 18-19 centuries.
