  • One who stops in saint Petersburg should not settle for the museum of the Hermitage and the Russian Museum, especially if it is as is my case, interested in the contemporary history of the city and the Russia. This political history museum presents interactively the beginnings of the Revolution during the XX-th century in St. Petersburg, as well as the torments of suggests WWII and Soviet. The visitor can be only touched with moving parts: office of Lenin, mask mortuary of Stalin, Trosky clothes, letters and photos of the Russians who took part in the Revolution. The Museum service is pretty well assured with a cloakroom and plans to not get lost in the large building, but for those who don't bed not Russian, the task is risky (parts have information about objects in English and Russian, while others are available only in Russian), however it seems that audio guides are provided at the reception for some rooms , and anyway a visitor who would like to make a visit to the Museum in approximately 2 hours could not read all of the legends.

  • If you are a political history buff, this is a must. You can easily spend over half a day exploring this great little museum. Download the izi travel app, and listen to the podcasts along the museum.
