  • Beautiful paintings. Few tourists. There is a bakery with delicious pastries. Recommend to visit both believers and lovers of beauty.

  • Probably the most spiritual and peaceful Temple in St. Petersburg at the moment. There are pilgrims, but no odurâûŝej crowds of tourists. You can sit in silence, to think, light, transparent, sublime in every sense. Icons, mosaics, murals-all to think about God, about life, about lovers and, alas, gone. Alternative television and promoting the fussy and material. Great for families with children there are always plenty.

  • Dormition monastery compound Optina Hermitage not repaired for a long time. The long and rich history of this place started with the year 1721. There were Laurel and pskovo-Pechora compound, the last before the revolution was the kievo-Pechora monastery. Unfortunately, the temple after the revolution suffered destruction during the Soviet era there were warehouse, and an ice rink. Very glad that it's still a wonderful place acquired its initial meaning. Now restored, the temple compound belongs to, and services are held regularly. Many relics kept here-Christian shrines and ancient life-giving icons and relics of Saints. From an architectural standpoint, Temple performed excellently in many delightful paintings, decoration is made of beautiful gemstones, many gold-in General, in the best Russian traditions.
