  • The Museum features exhibits of various musical instruments, including the reconstruction of ancient, not preserved till our days. However, I lacked some common lines, no holistic view, all somehow pieces. There are audio guides for which truth need to pay separately

  • 1. The location of the Palace is on the Fontanka River d. 34. Nearest metro station Gostiny Dvor. 7 min walk from it. The entrance to the building is located in the courtyard, the entrance to which is situated after Mama Roma. 2. visits/excursions in this Palace offers tours. They are not held every day and, if carried out, the 15:00. Tickets to 300 rubles. There are discounts for students and pensioners. 3. Shops/cafes. Shop saw cafes too. On the ground floor to Cass, has a coffee vending machine and food. Automatic with coffee and tea is good. Raspberry tea worth 20 roubles. Coffee from 30 rubles. The only thing I haven't figured out where spoons for stirring. 4. My impression from the summer palace first floor is closed. All tours on the second floor. Us on the tour told a young beautiful girl, very interesting. Since this is a Museum of music, the sounds of instruments she has shown on the videos on the tablet. Excursion took just under an hour. If you want more, you have to come when the season opens and conducts all sorts of concerts.

  • Small and friendly Museum in a historic Palace. The Interior of the building not are especially impressive in relation to others palaces neighbour but the charm of the Museum is there. The collection of instruments is very interesting and varied, pity about the bad lighting of the rooms, which hinders the visibility of parts and makes it impossible to take pictures. This score is that two separate inputs are required to visit the two floors of the Museum that are conpran separately at the box office and what nobody warned us. If only shopping the input to an of the two plants, when go to the another not you leave access and of bad way you force to pass by box office again. The problem comes when you hear of that buying the two entries in the pack you ahorrabas you more than one third of the total price.
